That will have to be compensated with a visit to Germany.
Rheinring (Anneau du Rhin) and beers are on me if you make it down this way.

Gents,

I'm undergoing this transformation right now.

I do have a question however. I'm not going the center radiator route, so would you know if I need this part, I'm thinking not...

Sorry I never got a page update so only just saw this. That part you outlined is part of the centre vent, and it actually comes with the centre vent. (or part number 4 in your diagram)

If you don't change the centre radiator how will the ducting fit? I've heard of people doing the GT2 front bumper without doing the Rad but I don't know how everything would fit so I'm curious.

be careful with fitting the gt2 rs carbon center vent. they are prone to cracking. let it sit where it wants. avoid stressing the carbon in any way. hope this helps.

Hey Isyman, I noticed on another british forum you mentioned that you had to replace the hot side ducting, frame, attachment strip, and gaskets when you upgraded the rear bumper.

Would you have the part numbers for those?

Hi, if you're talking about the intercoolers ducting, that's correct. I don't have the part numbers, it was all ordered by Tech9 who were doing the job. I already had the GAt2RS intercoolers fitted so all the ducting, the intercooler frames even etc. If you call Porsche they will have that info if you just ask for GT2RS parts.

Cool, thanks. Need to give that some thought as I'm already running larger champion intercoolers.

Well, now I know how my airbox got a hole burned through the back side. Thanks for posting. I'm still somewhat confused though, is it the AC compressor that didn't get mounted correctly or the box itself?

If anyone else has a damaged air box, I have a brand new 997.2 TT complete assembly available for purchase. I bought it thinking it would work in my 997.1, unfortunately the dot one and dot two boxes are not compatible.

Initially they said it might be worn engine mounts causing the engine to move and hit the AC pump. Excuse to buy new RSS engine mounts! They quickly dismissed that however but I still replaced the mounts just in case.
