It's oil change time and I was thinking of changing to Motul's 0w40 Trophy Ester motor oil. Has anyone used it, what does "ester" mean, and is it compatible/superior to other high performance oils? I'm currently using Mobil 1 but have had great success with Motul in the past. If you don't like Motul what would you recommend in its place? Thanks

 

I'm not familiar with the Trophy Ester, but I have used Motul x-cess 5w-40 and like it very much. I have also used Red Line which is a very good oil. Both are recommended over Mobil 1 by my indie who builds racing engines.
