HRE S101 Satin Gold on Macadamia Brown - First of its kind
9 Attachment(s)
Had a post up earlier looking for suggestions on wheel color and style to suit my Macadamia Metallic 997 TT Cabrio. Got some great feedback and have updated that post with the outcome, but figured I would start a new thread for those interested. The lug nuts are from World Motorsports and look great in my opinion.
Here it is... First time done, as far as I was able to research. I chose the HRE S101 Wheels with exposed hardware for a more sporty look. I chose the wheels in 19" since I track my car. After the install, I realized the car needs a drop and I have already ordered the Techart Lowering Springs and will post pics after install, which should be later this week. Hope you like and would love your feedback... very nice.

Definitely an improvement over stock! Well done.

Very nice combo.

Goes really well with the Mac color and the lite brn interior, enjoy the wheels!

Brown on gold is amazing. I have two comments.
1) for me when I do 3 pieces, I like to see some color contrasts. I wouldn't do the lip same as the center. I suggest you go with darker color. Body color or black. Otherwise I would have done p101. Just to be clear they are amazing regardless 2) lower the car. Porsche looks much nicer lowered. Enjoy it bro |
Agree with comments re centres being body colour but wheels defo are amazing. What width are they? If they are 12 inch rears and 8.75 or 9 inch fronts you should go up a tyre size to 245 and 325 as well as lowering the car on H&R springs.

The problem is that Macadamia is such a dark color, you need something to offset that. If I went with dark barrels, they would have blended in and dissapeared. I agree with you though, that 3 piece is better when contrasted. The main reason I went with 3 piece, is for the hardware to give the wheels and the car a more aggressive look. As for lowering the car, the Techart Springs are out for delivery as I am writing this from UPS. Should be installed by end of week and I will repost pics. Thanks for the comments.... |

The rears are 11's not 12's. HRE recommended stock tire size, so went with that. As I mentioned earlier, lowering springs are arriving today and should be installed by the weekend. Thanks for the comments.... |

H&R springs. Tyres are Cup 2s. Even the type of tyre let alone size makes a big difference to performance and handling. With GT2 rear anti roll bar and wider tyres I have really managed to reduce understeer.

That looks nice. The gold wheels really compliment the color well. Macadamia Brown Metallic doesn't look good with every wheel color, but gold looks very nice.

The S101's have been done in a Satin Gold before but DEFINITELY not on a Macadamia Brown vehicle. Brown on any car looks looks good but this is downright superb. Congrats on the HRE performance wheels and let's see some more photos soon!

Wow that's amazing!
