I've tried every Porsche dealer in Canada and even pulled all my favors (I'm in the auto industry)... to no avail.

I couldn't get to the front of the list. Totally sucks.
From what I have heard around 25 cars are coming here.

Looks like I missed the train on this one.

I'm now seriously considering putting a deposit down on the potential of a GT2RS in two years.

Porsche GT3 guru Andreas Preuninger has confirmed the six-speed manual gearbox used in the 911 R will be available as an option on the next generation of GT3 as well.
However, the track-focused GT3 RS will remain PDK only.
