question about upsizing to 20" wheels

Quick question. I have a '12 TTS. I plan on upsizing from my current 19" factory wheels to a 20" forged rim. I already have the MPSS front 245/30/20 and rear 325/25/20. I'm looking at 20x9 for the front wheel and 20 x 12 for the rear wheel.

I already have the TPC DSC module. I am also thinking of adding the GMG springs. In the last few weeks I've seen threads about changing the sway bars, front/rear wide track kits, rear toe links.

My driving is 99% street and 1% track (one day a season).

If I'm upsizing my wheels, do I need the different sways/track kits? Does that answer change if I plan on using GMG springs?

Thanks for the advice

In my opinion, going to 20's may look cool, but the car will drive worse. The 997 was really not designed for 20's. I took the 20's off of my car when I bought them and went to 19s and absolutely love them. But that's me :-)

The quick answer is no, you don't NEED any of that stuff and the answer doesn't change based on if you add springs.

You can upgrade to the wheel and specs you mentioned with no issues.

For handling purposes, you may want to upgrade sway bars and things, but definitely not required, personal preference. I recommend putting on the springs and driving the car and seeing what you like and don't like about the set-up, then making incremental changes as you research and find out the problems you'd like to address/change.

Especially based on your usage of 1% track, i think a set of springs should satisfy your requirements.

I have a set of 19's and 20's and i like them both for different purposes... the 20's look great on the street and the 19's are perfect for the track.
