Pinning the camshaft
I have recently read that it is better to keep your original cams and have those pinned, so that the wear on the lobes and tappets stays matched.
Question....when you get a new cam installed under warranty work at the dealer..do they replace the tappets along with the camshaft?

Hi,
I have read about the spun camshaft sleeve issue and I starting to get worried about mine... I am going to remove engine for a clutch swap and pin the coolant lines and thinking about pinning the camshaft as well. I have not found any info how to do this. Anyone have pictures that can explain how to fix it? Reason I ask is that a friend of mine is running a cnc machine shop and was hoping it could be fixed locally rather sending the camshafts out of the country to get it fixed.
Thanks

Just kidding.
Best advice you're going to get is - call John Bray at EVOSpec and ask him. I've dealt with all the vendors mentioned in this thread (and 2 out of 3 are outstanding) but John is *the* guy you want to deal with.
Consider the costs of doing it once, and then consider the costs of doing it twice.
