P1543 Code

Hey guys, so my car had a pretty extensive aesthetic overhaul over a couple of weeks by one of the best places in the tri state. She is a thing of beauty and I can't wait to share some pics. Only thing is while there, I believe the battery went dead and the car was pretty much in an "off" state until the job was complete. The shop did replace it with a new OEM spec Porsche battery.

Upon driving the car for the first time though it felt as though it was choking up and stalling very quickly. It'd shut down and then I'd have to restart it. The shop said, no worries, lets keep the car and we'll take it to the dealership and square it away for you. Once again they provided A+ service.

The Porsche dealer calls me today and gives me a bit of news. Since I purchased my car in February I could tell that the car performed exceptional but not to my surprise I was informed that it most definitely has a flashed ECU and had an error code. The problem is I don't know which tune it is and how to get in touch with the old owner since I purchased it from a dealership. Is there any way to tell what tune is on the car exactly?? The dealer feels that some of the parameters of the tune might've gotten screwy since the battery was disconnected and the car wasn't driven for a bit. Their solution to at least start to diagnose what could be a potential issue is to reflash the ECU to a stock map.

More importantly it's throwing a P1543 code which has to do with throttle adjustment (quick google search). Has anyone seen this code before and if so how did you remedy it? Any suggestions are welcome. I miss my car and I just want to get back in and drive. Thanks in advance.

if it is a bone stock car...then a reflash to OEM map should not be an issue. If you have exhaust etc...then get a cobb and use an OTS map.

According to the service manager, he has the smoking gun that indicates theres a flash on the ECU. I don't mind going to stock, the plan was to go with a Kline/Cobb combo by Sam in the spring. I guess I'm more concerned about if there is an actual issue and where it's isolated to.
