Modded 997.2 at Shift Sector vs the Competition
LB - love your vids.A friend of mine with same 9e 28 power kit (basically GT2 hybrid VTGS and GT2 RS coolers) bolted on a stock engined manual 997.1 turbo car up against a similar tuned PDK gen 2 turbo i.e. meth + zorst + tune.
Race is over 1.3 miles so LB can see what would happen on a longer run

The gen 2 cars are insanely fast. You need a real 800bhp in a gen 1 turbo just to keep up and thats if you don't fluff your launch.

Love those vmax 1.3 mile events.
I have to imagine the 911 Turbo PDK is the most efficient/effective driveline in the world. I just out launched a 918 twice this weekend. Held him off into the triple digits. Will get vids up on that shortly

Well it's just that I dyno on a low reading mustang. I'm at the limit of the stock fuel system. So whatever that power level is...that's where I'm at. I would guess something a little north of 700 crank.
In terms of performance per dollar spent hard to beat a PDK 997 turbo. Maybe a GTR perhaps but they cost a bit more to run.
Having watched LB for a while I knew the PDK turbo had this sort of power from just a simple flash, zorst and meth over a long run. The PDK 997 turbo ES 650 in the vid above running a GPS verified 0-300kph in 21 secs is simply amazing. I think LBs turbo would match it blow for blow. ; )

Also keep in mind that Adam raced that built tranny 997.1tt from rolling not standstill.

My car tended to get out of the hole quicker and was faster zero-any speed. But in the triple digits Adrian's car was a little quicker. Obviously there are a lot of variables to consider like density altitude, wind direction and speed, etc. The results were probably the way they were because I was seeing 90+ degree F conditions and Adrian was seeing much cooler temps. The hot conditions allowed my tires to grip better on the launch but perhaps robbed a little HP on the top end. The colder conditions for Adrian hurt his launch but let the car remain cooler for longer.
Same day same place I bet we would be dead even or real real close.
