Fault code P2231

Hi.

I have a P2231 fault code (static/cannot be deleted - systems sais: no signal) when fault reading my 997.1 Turbo (2008). I checked it with PIWIS1 and 2. Engine runs and sounds fine and the fault is only visible when reading it with PIWIS.

Any ideas where to start my fault finding? Sounds like a dead sensor or not connected wire/plug to me...

Note: I did an oil change last week and replaced the camshaft sensors, the camshaft actuator and the ignition coils on my own.

Thanks in advance!

Based on what you suggested that you just completed and your code, I would suggest you damaged, or failed to properly connect your O2 sensor on Bank 1 side.

That is where I would start.

Good luck...

Thanks!

I checked the connection and it's fine. So I guess I need to replace one O2 sensor (bank 1).
Maybe I have damaged the sensor before, they seem be very sensitive :-/

Yes, those things are very touchy...sometimes I think they are made out of glass. They have to be handled with car for sure...
If it blows again, then you may have a short of some sort. I did on mine and I kept blowing 02's on one of the banks. We finally found the short, fix it, and voila.

OK. Thanks. I'll keep this thread updated. Just ordered a Bosch O2 sensor. At least very cheap ;-)

I replaced the O2 sensor two dass ago. It wasn't that hard as I expected first (I was afraid that it's maybe stuck, but luckily it wasn't). After replacing the sensor I could delete the fault code P2231 and it didn't show up so far. Thanks!
