Inline electronically controlled exhaust damper / butterfly valve.

My brother has factory exhaust valves on his 08 Z06. It is really a slick setup. Cruising around his car is nice and quiet. When it gets above 3500rpm or so the valves open up and it screams. He also has an aftermarket remote control that opens it up full time if desired. I found a product from MAP Performance that looks pretty good, I'm thinking about trying it. Has anyone done this?

I use these as vacuum operated cutouts that turn my exhaust into straight pipes. I like the idea of the exhaust dampners, I wonder how much backpressure they create.

They are adjustable so they can be half way for cruising around and then you can put them wherever you want I think. I like my loud exhaust a lot of the time but sometimes I go on long drives and I just want it to be totally quiet. I want to have each one on its own separate switch below the ash tray. Maybe close one and crack another, whatever. I don't really need mine to be actuated, I'll adjust for the situation.
