Did you ever answer this question or did I miss that? Also, did you contact the manufacturer to get their take/ help on the issue? For your sake, I would hope you did before making accusations of "false advertising". I'm not taking sides and can understand fully how emotional these issues can be. I hope you get a satisfactory resolution to this.

Just FYI, no aftermarket tune is fully undetectable as there is an entry on the DME for number of reprogamming events. Now, while it is possible this counter goes up on OEM revisions, any dealer will be able to surmise if the car has or has had a retune at some point.

turbofan997 is infamous around these parts
I am in ECU tuning area and I confirm that unless you read the file in the ECU and compare it with a stock one, there is no way for the dealer to tell your ECU is tuned, also as you don't program the ECU with the piwis it is not written a file change in the ECU.
I have put a good 50 files in my ECU for improvement and the programing number red in the piwis is still at 2.

also I doubt that the dealer has a KESS or another OBD reader to get the file out for comparison.

Thanks for correcting me on that - it is surprising that the number of entries remains at 2 even after multiple reprograms. What causes it to go from 1 to 2 and is that enough for the dealer to assume there is an aftermarket tune?

It goes one more when you udpate the software with the piwis tester only.
that being said the fact that you have over REV up to stage 6 is a mystery, although a tuner raises the REV limiter, it never goes up to the stage 6.
How many sparks in those range 5-6 ?
it is not uncommon to see 1 up to 3 spark in those area but it is a bug of the ECU.
so if you have less that 3 sparks recorded, your dealer must have seen that case before

If I understand your post, the FVD tune was never actually DETECTED by your warranty provider. They ASSUMED/CONCLUDED the ECU was tuned because a range 6 over-rev was noted. Based on the above, technically FVD's claim may be accurate.

Porsche Owners Manual states if you mod the car warranty is void. So you modded your car and now you are upset that your warranty is void? That's how it works and value of your car hasn't "tanked", cheer up.
