Any 20" Tire Experts? Need your help

Hi Fellas,

Recently purchased my first Porsche 08 997TT and love it! However...After roughly 2 months and 2500km's of ownership I blew out the front diff. Not a very pleasant repair to say the least. The only thing that I can think that may of contributed to this is the current tire sizes. The car has 20" HRE rims withthe following size tires F 245 30/20 R 305/30/20 all Yokohama Advan. The tires are almost new however the rims are not as new so I am thinking that this size rubber may have just been recently added before I purchased it. Also the previous owner did run winter tires on it and I have no idea what size tire that might of been however spacers were required. I know this as I have the full service history from the Porsche dealer and spacers were mentioned when the summers and winters were swaped.

Any insight would be very greatly appreciated as I would much rather spend money on some new rubber then another new diff. Also OEM size I believe is F 235/35/19 R 305/30/19.

Thanks!

with 245/30-20 front you need 325/25-20 rear

Yes that seems to be the consensus on everything I have read..Looks like new tires on top of the front diff replacement..
