Tucked in for the Winter

Mods please delete, I cannot get pics up properly right now

Just got it back from the shop, pulled and replaced all the PPF on the car. After 5 years the color of the 3M Scotch Guard was off. I opted to go with the Xpel Ultimate PPF. Looks good, virtually no orange peel.

Same drill as every year, Tires, over filled, gas tank treated then filled,
All washed up, and on life support ready for the winters nap.

EDHondroulis is infamous around these parts
Hi JSF721,

I see that you're on Long Island. Who installed your Xpel PPF? Detailing Dynamics? The reason I ask is because 3M's new film, called Scotchgard Pro Series, has less orange peel than the old Scotchgard that you had installed five years ago. It also has less orange peel than today's Xpel. Check it out at www.ppffilm.com in case you need PPF in the future. We also have a paint warranty whereby 3M will pay up to $3500 to repair any paint damage caused by the film failing to perform. Happy Holidays!

I have been through venture shield and scotch guard, about 1 year ago I had xpel ultimate put on my hood after an impact damaged the existing film (but it saved the paint !) I did this to test it out knowing I will need to do something soon and I liked the product so I went with it. I knew about the new 3M product but It has not been out long enough that I could get any reference. I know 3M make amazing products but in any product cycle others can be better at the moment in time. I have noting against 3M product or film. At the time I used them, I thought they were tops. The warranty sure sounds like your confident in the product. I will keep it in mind for future projects and I appreciate the time you took to respond.
