my 2008 997 turbo just started having a pulsating clutch pedal. it has 50,000 miles on the original clutch. a few days ago, i felt a slight bang comming from the clutch pedal, and right away, it went away. felt almost like i ran over a small object. today while in moderate traffic, it started pulsating when i depressed the clutch and while the clutch is being let go. it pulsates steady to the idle and the corresponding sound is very audible. just wondering if anyone has had a similar issue with their car, and how bad the damage might be...

Is the pedal super hard to press on when you let the car sit overnight. There is an accumulator that is often a fail point on the Turbo clutch system.

 

Your power assisted slave or accumulator is going out. Common problem.

 

thank you guys for your input. the clutch actually died out on me during my drive home in heavy traffic while snowing. i was about 1/2 mile away from my house, and lost most of my ability to get the car in gear. i managed to somehow get the car home. gonna make appointments to get this done.
