PASM DIY tuning ?
PASM DIY tuning ?
It seems like everyone agrees that Porsche missed the ride options on our cars. The Normal mode is too soft and Sport mode requires a kidney belt in our streets.
Does anyone know if the stock PASM control is as simple as (2) digital signals that change the hydraulic dampening from Normal to Sport ? Or is there a whole bunch more to it like a PWM analog control?
I do realize there is a product out there that everyone seems to enjoy at about $1,200 USD which is not bad for a 4 corner analog controller with a ton of features.
Just wondering if there isn't an easier way to tweak the signal or the orifice(s) to say, stiffen up the Normal mode by 10% or softening the Sport mode by 10% etc. by making a change to either the electrical signal or the hydraulic orifice size? Sorry but I didn't find any details on the theory of operation of the system.
Just thinking.

I'd suggest reviewing the DSC calibration software, this will give you an idea of the inputs that the PASM unit uses to control the valves that determine how firm/soft the shocks are. You'll likely come to the conclusion that it's easier to just buy the unit
