My used 2008 997.1 Turbo

Hello,

I picked up this car last year with plans to lightly modify and use for my California 1 meditation drives and the 3-4 track sessions here on the West Coast. Ran a track session just before the "shelter in place" effect. Car had 47k miles and 12 year old OEM suspension. Last weekend I ran another track session but this time with new Bilstein B16 Damptronic coilovers. The difference was spectacular.

Anyway, heres my car.

Tripoding is common on the hills of San Francisco

Washed after a weekend of track

Turned 50k miles this weekend!

Good on you for getting it out to the track! Our car has just over 50k and loves to run.

You should combine them with the TPS DSC controller. Makes the ride much more compliant. Improves it in all ways even with sport on.

I agree. My cars have always seemed to run better after a day at the track.

Yes! I did that too as the next step to suspension tuning. It was a different vehicle. I was not pleased with the low speed numbness but at higher speeds it is quite nice. Now a year later, i've installed sways, motor mounts and other worn components. Very pleased.

Its definitely stiffer with SPORT suspension engaged. Hard to really know for sure as my old shocks were quite worn. The Bilstein Coilovers are adjustable so its able to be tuned for more comfort. I have made a couple of adjustments to get the right blend of track and street.
