Q about the 997 TT and other oem wheels

It seems that no auto manufacturers are putting on deep dish wheels as stock wheels. The 993, 996 and the 997 lineup, all came with wheels that has spokes flush with the outer wheel lip (flat dish so to speak). Does this make for a sturdier build? Does it matter if the spokes are positioned more towards the outside, or center? My buddy had champion rg5 modulars (deep dish) which got warped every so often. I kept mine stock on my TT and never had wheel problems. Could it be because the damage to stock wheels are done to the inside and cant be seen unless the wheel is dismounted?

That's not true...my old E39 M5 had deep dish rear wheels and the fronts were also a bit deep too. I can't think of any other manufacturers that offers these types at this time.

The deeper dish in the rear you have the wider the car looks from the back...
