sport seat option - good or bad?

i'm looking into buying a 997tt, and the sport seat appears to be a no cost option. can someone explain to this newb what the difference is and whether it's worth getting? thanks.

You can find a description in the Product info and Training guide put out by porsche. Find it in the thread named similarly on page 10 of this forum. I think the sport seats are similar to the Adaptive sport seats, but without bolster adjustments and no electrical assist - all adjustments by hand (jeez, who does that anymore?

Well I have finally driven the 997TT, with all sorts of options, we had 7 cars in total. Of course I could answer your question from only driving a 987 Boxster. Basically go with the Sport Seats, much better than Comfort.

I took my wife out for her first ride in our 997TT and she loved the Adaptive Sports seats. I like them because they are firm and have lots of adjustable features. I think you could go long distances in these seats without fatigue. I'd say they are well worth the $1145.00 extra...

Picked up my car after mods in Phoenix, drove straight through to Little Rock, including a several-hundred-mile detour through the Ozark Mountains at the end for fun, with no fatigue whatsoever. Approximately 1500 miles total. They were great for the 3-4 hour nap in the rest stop too . . .

Definitely recommend the Sport Seats!

I have Sport seats in the Cayman and the regular, full electric, on the 997 S. Sport seats are so much better IMHO.
