And yes he does talk about stuff other than cars before he gets down to the nitty gritty..this is his way.
Having driven it i would agree somewhat with his view, the gallardo or 430 is a more exciting drive..for a one off drive. To live with day n day out the porsche rules

Clarkson hates Porsches

and he hates Germans and he hates being old ugly and fat. He's the type of guy that would be fun at a party as long as you didn't have to see him too often. Based on his angry humor, I'd guess he's on anti-depressive drugs.

He really does hate Porsches and Germans

Ah, I don't think he's being that harsh. He notes the awesome power, real world ability, etc. He's just saying that he expects more passion... A lot of people on this forum said the same thing.

While I was reading it, I did notice one more thing that shocks me - If you didn't know it was a Turbo, only the gauges would tell you that it's not my Carrera S. For Porsche's flagship 911, I would expect a lot more differentiation inside.

Like I said before, I would love to own a 997TT - esp. in Atlas Gray or Cobalt Blue.

"It isn’t one better at all. It’s millions better. If I’d made it, I’d have called it the Porsche Jesus Christ Almighty Would You Look At That Bastard Go"

That is a quite positive remark given JC's usual point of view.

I love Clarkson. He's part entertainer and auto critic. It's hysterical how he can be completely un-PC and insult Brits, Italians, Spaniards, and Germans equally.

Plus he does say that the 997TT is the better car than the Lambo.

In fairness he also described the carrera S as the best handling car hes driven, but he is not a porsche fan.
But Top gear must be the funniest program on tv right now.

Yeah now you mention it, I've got the 2003 issue in wich he drives the GT and he was lyrical about it.

"The figures suggest there are faster cars, and on a track there are. The ferrari 430, for instance."

How the hell can he make that statement without backing it up with facts!
He always favors Ferrari and he did it agian.

Here are some tests:

EVO magazine recently tested it on its track and the turbowas faster than the 430 on the track.

September Road and Track: The F430 was the quickest around the track

Car&Driver: Laptime for the turbo 1:17.55 and for the F430 1:18.20. The turbo was the faster car.

Some italian magasine: their test showed that the F430 was the faster around the track

The conclusion is that they are about the same on the track so for my that statment just underlines my opininon about jeremy. HE IS PAYED BY FERRARI

Strimmer: weed whacker.

I love Clarkson - he's funny and opiniated. I think he nails this car - as a daily driver, it would be great. As a weekend fun car, perhaps a little boring. Just like my first three wives - coincidentally, all German!

hahahaha.... I dunno if thats sarcasm or not but I got a laugh.

We should be worried about the Z06 not the 430 :P
