To be honest, unless you're trying for extreme detail (landscape shots for example, or big enlargements) -- a good DSLR is a much easier camera to use. The metering, handling, focus speed, weight etc. of the medium-format system is all significantly inferior to that on, say, the Canon 1Ds mk2. The Phase One has better dynamic range, sharpness, and of course much higher resolution.

An interesting side effect - the Phase One is not IMO a good choice for portraits. It's waaaay too sharp and the lenses can't be opened up to f/1.4, or even f/1.8, to get shallow depth of field. Trust me - you *really* don't want to see your face rendered at 39Mpix with a sharp prime m/f lens -- you're not that good looking

My favorite setup for portraits is a Canon 1Ds MK2 with the Canon 85mm f/1.2 lens. I snapped this pic of my son with such a setup:

Treynor, any plans for your car other than perhaps "tinting" your car and changing your reflectors out? I'm assuming you're planning to do that.

I just cancelled my MY07 and should be getting first MY08 with PDK (as soon as they confirm it) and Aerokit....Sux though cause I'm sportscarless for the next year :'(
