Yeah...that's an awesome test I read about ca. a month back.
The main incredible thing about the EVO IX is the great balance and suspension's system that make it capable of both extreme driving and daily use of it. With its AWD system, the car goes exactly were you want to without problems...
Stunning car!

Guilty as charged. I picked an IX MR up based on the excuse to own some of the greatest driver cars during my lifetime. I installed a turbo back exhaust - nothing loud or crazy - and had Shiv Patek of Vishnu tune it over the course of 4 hours in Danville on the dyno.
Shes awfully close to 996 turbo power to weight for reference, handles absolutely fantastic (with rear sway bar and new springs installed), light on her feet, always grips like mad. Definately worth playing around with if you've got an extra 40k laying around (retains value well so net result is not that bad, I plan on dumping it Feb-Mar next year).
Tough daily driver though, gets lots of unwanted attention from those in uniform and kids. I feel a bit old driving it and im in my lower thirties. Fun factor is unbeatable but it takes a track to really enjoy the cars potential which makes you always holding back on the street so as not to do something stupid.
