I don't think an extra 20HP will make a big difference..

Its actually a dyno verified 40rwhp, so more like 50hp, and combined with the gearing changes, makes a HUGE difference. I dont think a 997TT will be pulling away from anything.

Hey allan, good point on the hp thing. I def think they are closely matched cars, both AWD, etc, etc, we all know all this info. BUT, from the good tests I have seen of both cars, the 997TT starts to pull away def at 150. i think prob up to 125 they are evenly matched then its 997TT. this is based on the fact thats the 997TT runs 0-150 in 18-19 sec and the 06 G runs 0-150 in 21-22 sec. either way unless one driver is much better than the other its gonna be pretty even until 125 mph or so.

Do you happen yo have that dyno. just curious to look at it becuase as we all know dynos can be manipulated in SO MANY ways. Not saying your lying but would like to see where the power is being gained.

It's a dyno from one Gallardo on one dyno compared to a different Gallardo on a different dyno (different day, location, temp, etc). It really proves nothing. Heck..I saw a 30 hp varience with my car just by switching between two different in dynos in a 3-day period.

And if youre talking another 50 hp at the crank in the G, youre saying its pushing upwards of 570. also, both these cars weigh the same basically if the 997TT doesnt weigh more, and then with the hp your stating it has, its got about 100 hp more than the 911 turbo. then again, the TT has more torque, but not an 8K+ rpm redline. i love both cars, but i DO NOT happen to like the lambos AWD system as much as the TT's. TT AWD seems to allow for a better top end.

Yea, i was kinda trying to make that point. basically, the car went up 20hp according to lambo. that doesnt really give any performance boost. also, i noticed i have seen 0-150 in 21-22 secs for the '06 G, and i just looked at and '04 G test, that had a 0-150 in 21.4 which pretty much proves there are not any faster to 150 mph.

50hp more at the crank would be 543 from the 493 of the 04-05 G's.

yes I know.

04 & 05's = 493
06 = 520 (but seem to be testing closer to 540-545)

Yea thats what it seems to be, but based on numbers posted by mags, the 0-150 is not any faster!

Its actually the dynoes of several Gallardos now.

One 04 Dynoed 366awd hp, that same car with exhaust, and air filters later dynoed 414 RWHP. Very much inline with gains from other cars. We figured the car at right around 400rwhp stock.

Another 04 G dynoed at 400AWD hp, with exhaust, cat bypass, while it had done 391AWD hp on same dyno different day.

An SE bone stock dynoed 422AWD hp. My SE dynoed 437rwhp.

Also the 06 has shorter gearing than the 04. The 06 is SUBSTANTIALLY faster than the 04/05.

As for the 997TT and G one magazine has already said that on a roll on race deep into triple digits, it and the Gallardo were evenly matched, gear for gear.
