Carmon red TT (pic)
IMO that colour just doesn't seem to work on the Turbo.
I had a Maraschino Cherry '88 944 Turbo, nice colour and much darker than Carmen Red.

The Carmon(a) Red is a bit too purple for me. I like the old Arena Red much better. The wood wheel might work, if there is additional matching wood tastefully done in the interior. By itself, it would be out of place.
wait till he tries to get rid of it
A local dealer had an orient red 996 C4S in stock that was ordered by a customer and when it came in the customer freaked and wouldn't take.
Dealer unloaded it for 10K off of sticker.

Carmon red looked good on the 993, with its more classic lines. The new and more contemporary looking 911's (996 and 997) looks odd in Carmon red.
Here's an old Porsche ad to remind you of how gorgeous the 993 really is:
(Although, the car pictured could be Arena red, I can't really tell the difference).
Oh Tad, here's a better picture of Chris "cars should look like crap" Bangle
