I will be trading in my 04 S 55 (20K miles, Black/Black) for 07 997 TT (GT Silver/Natural Grey).
The car is expected to be here in US around Nov 11.

I would greatly appreciate it if any of you can give me an idea as to what I can expect for a trade in based on the Manheim auction results.

You will get KILLED on the Benz. They are falling like rocks. For example, at Adessa a few weeks ago I bought an 03 E500. This car is absolutely MINT. Rough book was 28K, I paid 20,250. Ive been watching Benz's here in AZ go for next to nothing.

 

agreed... Dealer will kill you on this, because they are extremely slow cars to sell. Best bet is to consign or put it up for sale..might get $63k or so

 

put it up for sale RIGHT NOW.

Take a small hit on it now instead of a killing in a month.

Thanks for all your responses. It does help me a lot.
I'm sure that the new TT will mke up for the huge bath I willl be taking.

It appears that a reasonable trade-in offer would be around $58-$60K.
My car is in absolutely perfect condition with an original sticker of $130K.
The options include:
Distronic
Parktronic
Keyless Go
Phone Module - Now fitted with bluetooth (from MB USA)
Clear Bra

I feel your pain. I have decided to keep my Benz because of the depreaciation. It's still a kick *** lux cruiser.

 

A little OT, but do the G-wagons depreciate as bad as the other MB's?

 

Even worst. Expensive big Mercedes Sedans like S600, S55 depreciate really fast. If you want something that won't depreciate as fast, get an M3, M5 or E55.

 

Now that the new models are out, I've seen E55's and M5's going for cheap too. But, you're right, big sedans with huge motors are such niche cars that they're really hard to sell.
