I don't miss 405 in California at all...ironically the 405 up here in Washington is pretty bad too.

Agreed, then maybe we can get everyone to not post any future performance indicators???

We can't do that, the forum would then cease to exist.

I feel the same way about the DC Beltway (495) and all the other traffic laden roads around it. (i.e 270 and 66). Couldn't be happier now that I am an hour further west.

Anyone have luck downloading this article. Just curious, I guess the turbo
had standard steel brakes, not the ceramic ones. Wonder what the difference in stopping distance times alone between the turbo and the other
porsches??

Guys,

This is Autobild..written for the masses in Germany. 0-100kmh is a very old and established standard measurement for performance. Traction now is an issue with all the high HP cars making a deput. Still 0-100kmh is probably what you can play most on public roads without getting into trouble with the law and keeping everyone save....surely slowing down in time would help the cause!!!!

So what is wrong with the test?

Try going from 0 to 60 mph back down to 0 and see much sense it makes. Where and why would you ever do this? I agree 0 to 60 is a reasonable test for off the line acceleration, but 0 to 60 back to 0. Stomp on the gas, then stomp on the brakes, WTF?

Traction control. Let them get up to 100 mph and beyond and the CGT will eat most anything for lunch.
