Protomotive dyno report: good god
I could write volumes (like, "no wonder my car felt so much faster after the ECU flash) but there's no need -- as usual, it would seem, Todd's work speaks for itself.
Stock 997TT + Protomotive ECU tuning + Exhaust + air filters = 509 WHP (!!!) or >600 BHP http://www.treynor.com/997/Ptech997ttdyno.jpg Todd also sent me a prelim printout from his next round of mods (cheap, too!). You will not believe your eyes. I certainly couldn't. |
That is insane!
What do the mods come to price wise? Protomotive ECU tuning + Exhaust + air filters |
Wow...it's around 90 AWHP more than stock!
I bet it's less than $5K for the mods.  |
Congrats... Todd is an awesome tuner...
BTW, a little birdy told me today that they just dynoed a 997tt at 18psi, with 100 octane fuel in it, it made 561AWHP :) Damn! That was with the upgraded compressors, exhaust and an airfilter. That's 673.2hp at the crank according to dynojet. Ill have the dyno tomorrow... |
With tuneability like this say hello to 1K hp real soon.
|
my first reaction to the hp increase, ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?! thats INSANE!!!!! Man does todd do AMAZING work! he really knows his stuff. when i get a turbo after im done driving the c4, it will be going to him immediately. again, great post, cant wait to see what other tricks he has up his sleeve. i mean 670+ hp from a few minor mods is great!

how much more hp gain are you looking at with going to sport cats and new headers since those have not been done yet?

Last Friday todd dynoed my 996tt and on LOW boost (14 psi) it did 685 rwhp.
Its all about efficiency. |

hes waiting for the weather to clear up... its ready except high boost calibration.
he figured out the ABS/PSM so it runs on the GT3 software... this guy is really smart. Not to mention he fitted gt3 street cams( both exhaust and intake) into 2004 gt3 rs race car's heads... and made it all work... that's crazy. |

i can second to this post as i recently installed Protomotive's ECU on my 997tt and it made the car into a whole new beast. I only have ECU and Exhaust and it ran dead even from 20-140mph against a 06 z06 (490whp) and a 997tt (stage4). I was quite amazed at how fast this 997tt already is with just two simple mods. I can imagine it will only get crazier after more mileage.... cheers!
