I say Meteor, GT Silver is to much of an upcharge for something so close to the other silvers. With Porsche you need to be careful. My first 996 in 99 was speed yellow which was a $3010.00 option. In 2000 they made it a standard color. On my 2001 TT I paid $3645.00 for paint to sample Ferrari fly yellow. I did not recoup any of it and in resale, it means crap. If you go with silver stick with Artic!

Thanks for that info. That is what I was thinking as well.

I still have this soft spot for a GT2! I need to stop confusing myself. If the right Silver GT2 came along, I think the 997 may have to get kicked.

I hear ya! I'm still debating as to whether a GT2 or 997TT would better satisfy my desires. It seems the price for a very low mileage US spec GT2 is in the same neighborhood as the 997TT's.

The 2500 mile Silver GT2 on Ebay has caught my eye, but that is a lot of coin for a GT2!

Ill be "that guy" and vote for GT Silver.

While i like the meteor gray, something about a crisp, bright, Silver 997TT with tinted windows and some NICE wheels just sounds so nice.

IMHO, lighter colors 'pop' better than darker ones...

Good Luck with ur choice...and NICE Snake too!

I was in the same boast believe me, and GT2 it is. Fact of the matter is, no matter how much more advance or better it is over the 996TT, that's where the comparison ends. Its still not a GT2 and wouldn't satisfy me, I would HAVE to modify it to love it, the GT2 is real out of the box and gearned to nothing but thrills IMO, its up to you but if your goinjg for another weekend car, get just that!

PM amirgt2 or BBGT2 they owned both the 997tt and GT2. I have also driven both. At least test drive both cars before you decide. GL

Thanks for the references Vincent. I'll contact them and see what they have to say.

The only aspect that is pushing me towards the 997TT is the backseats. It'll make my 4 and 5 year old kids happy.
