That is the only issue. The car has plenty of power but at the strip, street tires are a disadvantage. On the street, the car runs 10's. I can get it to run back to back to back 10.9 with my driftbox GPS and stock 19" tires.

You are right Todd. It's one thing for drag cars to have an advantage at the strip but 996TT/997TTs _always_ do better on the street and with street tires. We usually go around the water box etc... anyways. The VHT and surface is catered towards slicks and such not street tires... Not suprised you can pull a 10 on the street with normal tires
I missed it... Congrats to Todd...
I stupid when it comes to the 997tts.... does sit have a PSM and does it stay passive active? also, what tire size were you running... I know the awd stuff is sensitive to tire sizes... is it the same in the 997tt?
congrats... its all about the 60ft... like I was saying all along...

Thanks Markski, The 997TT PSM is like the 996TT where it is still passive active when switched off. The 997TT is sensitive to tire size as well. We were running Mickey Thompson ET Street Radials 275 x 40 x 17 which is about 26" diameter. The stock 19's are 305 x 30 x 19 which is about a 26.2" diameter. The slight difference in diameters will not cause any problems. This car launches very hard. Thanks! BTW, we made a few more sets of the Bogart 17" drag wheels which are very light. This MT drag radial is the best tire that we have found. As a 275 it has more traction and is lighter than the BFG. Take care
