Anyone in the Northeast with Natural grey interior?

If anyone has this and would let me see it I would appreciate it. On the fence and would like to see it in person

just take a Black interior under extreme sunshine... then you will see Natural Grey...

I am also on the fence with the Natural Grey leather option. The extra $1510.00 buys you Porsches top grade leather but are there areas where leather is included as standard with this option that are not included with the standard leather? I ask because according to Edmunds this option includes leather on "front and rear center console side trim" as standard ? Anyone know?

i saw a Natrual Grey at my local dealer... did not seem like it came with anything extra than what other standard leather came with... and besides the 'Natrual' infront of the Grey is just there to make the name sound better... doesn't make the leather any better than the normal ones...

I disagree...natural leather is a much higher grade of leather. Try sitting in a car with the standard vs natural leather. It just simply feels much better. I was immediately sold on getting it. I'd say that it's 98% black. Definitely makes the car feel/look much richer. Oh, and not to mention the fact that it smells so nice compared to the standard leather too.

I had natural grey in my last TT and did not order it for the one I have now. I ordered the supple leather and it has the same feel as the natural grey. I have the two tone interior with blackand slate grey.

When I ordered the natural g. they told me the only difference was that the color was permeated throughout the leather which would eliminate any discoloration due to wear. They did not indicated that the quality of the leather was any different than what they use as standeard for the cars.

Porsche did not disclose at all for any Natrual leather to be better grades than the standard letter... they are both supple leather, or napa leather... the only difference would be colouration which i can't tell...

I was just in one and my good buddy Gurfein on this board ordered it right after he saw it as well. The color is amazing and it does feel like a higher grade of leather. well worth the $1400+ on the TT. No question in my mind!

I have black leather in the TT and to be honest, it isn't really black at all. It is definitely a very very dark gray. I brought a black leather ottoman outside from my living room to compare color and the ottoman is REAL black and the black seats in the car are actually a very dark gray.

Appreciate all the feedback guys, I will have to check this out in person. I really like my "stone grey" in my 997S and thought the Natural grey looks almost black. I read a post a few weeks ago here (can't rember who it was) and they were certain that the Natural Grey/Brown leather was selected from Porsche's top 10% of hides before it is treated with color? Anyhow the only way to tell is to see it in person, then judge if the extra cost is warranted? If anyone has this option in their P-Car I would love your feedback as to its quality vs standard + if any additional items in the cars interior are covered vs standard leather?

JoeyG Jan 11, 2007 10:12 PM

Unless you seriously care about the small difference, I'd say go with black. I've checked out both, and the overall look/feel seems very similar.

No additional items are covered if you get natural grey leather. And you did hear correctly, Porsche uses leather from the top 10% grade for natural leather. It's really subjective, IMHO. It's as if you wanted to pay extra for CF trim, aluminum trim, or to cover leather here and there. All personal preference. I liked it enough to switch from black standard leather to natural grey.

And all along I thought your interior was standard black. By the way, I will option my cars interior very similiar to yours (and hopefully upgrade to the TechArt carbon steering wheel you have). What I like about your interior is that its simple and nothing is overstated. You have just the right amount of carbon/leather/aluminum and it is very "balanced". Very nice job of picking the right options, the center console is very rich looking in leather. Just curious, because I can't tell from the photos, did you opt for the leather visors, leather door finishers or leather inner sill parts release? Anyhow, nice job atomic80!
