I might be wrong, but i think the Veyron's got a 7-speed DSG. Maybe it isn't so as weak after all.

I hear the cost for the Veyron DSG is about the same as for a new RS4.

No, it isn't weak.

Yes, it is very expensive and very heavy.

Well, at least it's possible.
Less weight means more money, but let's hope Porsche figures out how to make a strong, cheap and light DSG

I would say probably not, except reinforcements. Since Bugatti is a part of VAG and all DSG's follow the same principle.

The Veyron DSG is made in England, I don't think any other VAG DSG is made there.

I would be surprised if it is very similar to the normal ones.

The problem with the DSG is to handle large amount of torque. That's the advantage the BMW concept has with SMG. "Low" torque but a lot of horses, but the SMG keeps the engine in the right revs all the time so the torque to the wheels is optimal. So they can lower the weight.

In wich way? The choice of materials? Of course it's diffrent, that's a part of the reinforcement. But the way it works is the same as any other DSG (Direct Shift Gearbox).

The optimal gearbox would be the CVT. Always in the optimal revs, it's just the gearbox that changes the ratio at acceleration. But again, there are problems with torque.
