What mods would be needed on a 997tt to outrun an Enzo?
I was just wondering after reading some posts about how the CLK DTM can pull on an Enzo, that it would not be too difficult to modify the 997tt to do the same. Does anyone know if the RUF RT12 is faster than the Enzo? If it is, it should not be too hard to get similar performance out of the 997tt. Let's hear some opinions on this!

I think a GT700 on a 996 tt could outrun an Enzo and some of the one off Protomotives could as well. Not sure that the 997 tt is there yet, top mod so far is 610 hp. Enzo has 650 hp and less weight, just my opinion though.

And believe me its not that easy getting the same performance as an RT12 (which is half a second quicker than an enzo to 300kmh)

0-100km/h:
RT12 - 3.4s (Autobild)
Enzo - 3.6s (AMS)
0-200km/h:
RT12 - 9.8s
Enzo - 10.3s
0-300km/h:
RT12 - 24.8s
Enzo - 26.1s
Top speed:
RT12 - 353km/h (official figure, standard gearing; taller gearing available)
Enzo - 355km/h

is that the official figure? at Pfaffenhausen they told me 363km/h GPS verified, with the standard gearing. this came as a pleasant surprise to Ruf themselves, and for this reason, they normally don't recommend the taller gear ratio...
of course straightline speed is one thing... around a track, i believe the Enzo would give the RT12 a drubbing (assuming the Fezza was in the proper hands).

Most reports I've read (here's one from EVO) quote 219mph (353km/h) as the top speed with standard gearing. I'd take either. You've got the best one, btw. White FTW!

'Straight line' racing may not be as easy as you think, having done NHRA racing nationally for a number of years. It all comes down to who(driver) can 'launch' better without severe tire spin. If the enzo is just spinning his tires and the TT isn't, he could have 800 hp and it wouldn't do him any good at all.
