I ordered a set of ceramic coated tips, these are for a non-turbo, but mine should be here shortly.

Normally i would say yes because im a big fan of blacking things out, but honestly i like the classic/clean look of it now, and love the blacked out turbo badge Leave it!

Those look great Byron! Who claimed these? Thinking of doing this myself. How much is Arling charging for this ceramic coating?

The tips would look better Powdercoated Black IMO. The Headlight Washers need to be painted either Black or matching your colour. That's one option I ordered for my RS.

i've done it on my car. numerous times now

i found the ceramic coating to be the least durable and looked awful in short amount of time.

i've had them powdercoated (high temp) three times now. they are already starting to turn to crap on me. between the intense heat and the road debris, it just doesn't hold up.

if i get some new tips at some point, i will probably have them black chromed. it's expensive, but much more durable.

If your such a cheepskate when aren't you using confiscated drug money to get those chrome tips?

Byron

P.S.Funny cause when I checked all the guys at the powder coating shops said ceramic coating will withstand the heat so now you have confused me.

Just FYI, black chrome is not expensive. I was quoted $25 to black chrome my tips by a local industrial coatings company

you are correct. it will withstand the heat better, but it's much more delicate. road debris, etc starts flaking it pretty quickly.
