Again, that was NOT ME in the video. The ony thing that I have in common with that video is the outcome when I raced a 997 TT in my Z06..

I know of Fadi from z06vette.com, and I also know of the person that posted that vid from the same forum. I am actually kind of suprised at the comments made in the end of the video. I remember seeing a vid of NC EB Z06 in his C5 Z06 (heavily modded) got spanked by a Dodge Neon. Just goes to show that *any* car can be made to be fast. I respect both cars, whether it be a Z06 or a 997 TT. I guess that not every Z06 owner is the same. To me it is kind of sad to take pot shots (so to speak) at the 997 TT. However, if I was spending my money I would rather have the 997. I guess what I am trying to say is that we get it. C6 Z06 < 997 TT, but as others have stated, lets quit beating a dead horse. I would much rather see a race between equal drivers. I think that the outcome would not be so much in the Z06s favor. I am not saying that the P-car would win, but it would be nice to see a true race where driver experience is taken out of the equation.

On a side note I saw a C6 Z06 tonight and I really wanted to trade mine in one, but my wife said no. The only way I am going to get another sports car is if it has a back seat. Well, it looks like I may be looking at a 997 TT now since I can get a car seat in it.

 

The guy in the video was quite a ****** nozzle at the end. What was all that about?

I have to ask though... Is the chevy really that much faster than the vette or was he sandbagging to help this yahoo complete he the production of his "I hate porsche owners and 6speed" video?

Yes, the Z06 is that much quicker than the TT from a roll. One car traps at 125 and the other traps at 121. From a dig and up to the 1/4 mile, it is very close, and will come down to driver. Past the 1/4, the Z06 will run away.

 

I want to see it to believe it, so far we have 2 videos showing 997TT running away and Z06 running away

 

martin, i have seen the videos you posted on e46fanatics a while back showing a vetter getting pulled on pretty hard by a 997TT. i think it all depends on the driver really, just like most races will similar hp cars. also, 997TT's i have seen trap 123 and someone actually told me(havnt seen it yet) that one trapped 126 in bone stock form, so the trap is def there.

 

I also have a video of my stock C5 Z06 running away from a stock SRT-10 Viper. What does that prove? Nothing but the fact that the driver in the Viper was clueless..

With equal drivers, a 997 TT would see taillights..

Show me one video or timeslip of a stock TT running an 11.4 or better in stock trim at 125+ just like the Z06?? I will be waiting (probably for a while).. I can show you more than a half of dozen for the Z06.
