Good question.

The handheld Flashloader is just the method of switching the programs. You must first have the programs loaded onto the DME.

We will be happy to do that for you.

What are the pricing structure for these programs. Is there a different price for each program? Such as one for "Kill," one for "pump" and so forth or is that all inclusive in the initial price given? Is there one price that includes all (flashloader, multiple programs, etc)?

These units are not OBD2 loaded. They are only benchflash.

Each program is an additional cost. The cost of the performance program is 3495.00 then you add the other programs at an additional cost as well as the cost of the flash loader. The nice thing about this release is the race file!<O</O
<O
Only four dealers at this point will offer this product and we all are on the dyno today gathering the final data and tweaks necessary. ImagineAuto, EVO, SharkWerks and AWE. We all woke up this morning with this little gift in out email box.<O</O

If you are still concerned about the dealer then you will want a cloned ECU. This requires a PIWIS and a TT and a friend at the dealer to provide codes. If you have a dealer that is a pain, this too is also a viable option. We have done 3 in the last 2 days

The programs will be ala carte. However, we have yet to have get the final pricing.

The handheld will be $150.

Example:
On the 996TT, the base program for a K16 car is $1995. The stock is $200. Race is $400. The handheld is $150.

Total would be $2745. (3 programs and a handheld)

When I have more info, I will update the thread.

Car was just dynoed on the pump program. I am going to buy some race gas tomorrow morning.

Stay tuned...

Do you know if any of the tuners will come up with a flashloader that will actually upload/download programs via the OBD2 port? I'd much prefer to do things that way. To have various programs stored in the ECU increases the chance of the dealership noticing something. I'm not too keen about having to swap out the ECU every time I take the car in for servicing either.

If you are asking about what Kevin does it is a long ways off from that. This system is no where near the 996TT system.

Changing the ECU is all of a 20 minute job if you are slow.

I'm looking at the convenience of being able to upload new programs and go back to stock at will as opposed to having to spend 20 minutes (or less) to swap out the ECU every time the car goes in to the dealership. Court's still out on this one..

Just was wondering if any of you tuners were planning to come up with such a system.
