Polishing exhaust tips

Anyone know if you can polish the standard exhaust tips (the dull ones that came with the earlier turbos). If so, how do you polish the tips?
TIA,
Mike

Get some "0000" steel wool and P21S metal polish (or any product, but P21 has worked for me).

I use BlueMagic Metal Polish cream and Mothers Billet Metal Polish and give them the "shoeshine" treatment. Not sure if thats possible with the turbo?

Hell, the more I try to remove the blacken-exhaust from the inner lower portions of the exhaust cans where the exhaust is heaviest, those same places just get duller and duller. I think they are just cheap chrome. I am not sure if it is my rubbing that keeps them dull or the exhaust has etched them. They run about $350 each to replace. The top of the cans still shine and the inner lower outside rims stay dull.
