I think it was terrible about the R8 buring up. Sure they will fix the problem. I saw one at Sebring they are great looking.

As far besting Porsche at the track, remember the RS Spyder is in P2 not P1 where the R10 is. Having seen the Sebring and St Pete races first hand, the Audi's are certainly good but not that much faster than the top P2 cars, both the RS Spyder and Acura. In fact the RS Spyder got the pole at St Pete, pretty impressive for a car with a 3.4L NA engine!! Even McNish (top R10 driver) was impressed by the RS Syder qualifing time, which caused him to try and best it and subsequently crashing in qualifing.

I haven't seen an Audi be competive in any top GT class for some time, hopefully the R8 will change that. With the rules evolving in GT2 in favor of more competition, it is a blast now to watch the Ferreri 430 and Panoz battle the RSRs, maybe someday we'll see the R8 and a return of the M3.

Werd, GT1 has become a joke even though they try and equalize the cars. I enjoyed watching it for awhile but now no one will race against them (C6R's). I am happy to see things heating up in GT2. I would like to see Chevrolet Pratt/Miller field a GT2 car and also the M3 could be back with its v8.

I think GT1 is too expensive to field a car, almost as much as P1 or 2. I remember hearing that GM invested something like $50M developing the Corvettes. Not many will come up with those kind of numbers, at least not for a GT class car. GT1 are not that close to the street versions and thus cost much more. Hope someone figures out something soon or GT1 will die because of lack of interest.

I love Audi and Porsche, but man are you guys some haters. I don't know what happened, but it's very unfortunate actually.
That sounds like something that would have come out of scvette's mouth (or whatever that troll's name was), only replace audi with Chevy. If we were to go on audiworld.com and post about Porsche domination, the same result could be expected as what happened here. One cannot come onto a Porsche board and expect the posters not to have a Porsche bias. Same rule applies to any other car specific board.
