Front Windsheild Defrost Question??

Has anyone experienced this issue with the front Defrost. Even though my temp is set to 61 degree's with the AC on, when I hit the Defrost button, it forces out hotter air which at first fogs up the entire windshield and then eventually clears it up. But that initial burst of hot air causes the windshield to fog up so quickly that visibility worsens before it starts to clear up. Any thoughts?
