Need help on the difference between driving schools

I would like my son attend one of the driving schools but found out that Porsche changed their age minimum to 21 so I am looking at other alternatives. Can anyone recommend the Skip Barber "high performance" driving school? How does it compare to the P orsche two day schools?

Thanks in advance.

Skip Barber has a very good reputation. I did the 2 day racing school and had a blast. I think they have a course dedicated to young/new drivers. I would definitely send my kids to something like that.

I race Formula R/T 2000's in the Skip Barber Regional Series.
I can say, without hesitation, that SKIP BARBER is the best driver training program in the continental US.
The instructors are nothing less than great guys and fantastic drivers. The programs they teach are literally, LIFE SAVING.
I have seen them teach young girls how to drive a manual and accident avoidance - car control clinic, in less than a day.
I can't say enough good things about the SB program. It's also offered all over the country, in the East, Midwest, West and South.

The other schools, Bondurant, Porsche, Russel, etc. are all very good as well. But they don't offer the same options in terms of courses, tracks, cars, etc.
They all teach the same basic fundamentals.. But the Skip organization is really top notch.
Your probably looking for something like this to begin with:

Let me know if you have further questions.

P.S. - Here is a shot of me driving through Turn 3 at Laguna Seca.. And no, the driving classes aren't taught in Formula cars, only the RACING schools.

Since pictures usually speak louder than words, I thought I would share some photo's from my last weekend with Skip in March.

Laguna Seca Turn 9-10 in the wee hours of the morning.

Some of the instructors and drivers.

It's a family type atmosphere. Fathers and sons, husbands and wives.

Two of our best and fastest racers:
Jessica, 14 and
Jimmy, 13

Hope this helps give you a taste of a Skip Barber event.
