Did a search a couldn't find anything recent that addressed this so would appreciate it if someone could enlighten me

TIA.
A dealer in town, I'm not even on his list, called me a couple of months ago offering my choice of three 997TTs. All new, 2 were tips and the other was a 6 speed with the wrong options. Everyone of them had some sob story why the buyer/speculator couldn't complete the deal.
Think about it, if he is cold calling me, he has already burned thru the entire list.
FWIW the dealer sites list all inbound cars, sold and unsold. So it's not really reliable.

Looks great and can barely tell its there. Then again this is on Gt Silver which hides alot. Dark cars are obviously more prone to show flaws in the material or application. To each their own but if i can keep my car looking new and chip free why not. I have already come to realize that the front lower lip will be a annual replacement. Just my .02.
I am doing my GT Silver in 2 days (complete front hood and side fenders using Ventureshield). I hate the way these cars chip so easily. Already got 1 stone chip on the front hood on the way back from the dealership. I think some areas (the Bay Area for example) really do a number on these cars especially because of the hood shape of a 911. Its like a huge dustpan. No way would I have my rocker panels painted the front lip was history on day 1 just getting into my garage. At least with the black plastic you get the "shreaded" look but if its painted it looks worse. I do like the look of the lower panels painted, its just not practical for me living in a City full of potholes and steep driveways.
