The Turbo Out of the Box, Day ONE
The Turbo Out of the Box, Day ONE
I didnt get the car. There was a malfunction with the spoiler and they need a sensor from Germany. They will over night it from Porsche.
Looked great considering it has been in transit for 3 weeks!!

The irony is:
My car was selected for a complete "head to toe" inspection at the factory which added a few days to the build completion.
You would think the spoiler sensor would have been checked.
It's hard to believe the part will be here wednesday (tomorrow) at 11 am from Germany but they told me its SOP,, overnight delivery.
Another sleepless night for me.
I learned a bit more today:
Car comes into the port completely wrapped.
Wrap taken off by PCNA to ensure the shipper didnt dent the car.
PCNA wraps a bit of it in the white plastic and wraps wheels.
A Dealer Rep checks the car over completely once it gets off the truck to ensure there is no damage.
There is a special battery switch which is needed to start the car.
Turbo is asleep
Car can go a maximum speed of 22 mph until the dealer gets it out of hibernation mode.
With the car neutered, it barely gets up into the delivery truck.
It was a fascinating process watching the truck guy munipulate the insides of the truck to get the car down without touching anything.

Nice! Congrats!
BTW, I doubt the story about the 911's being fully wrapped for shipment. I believe I've seen pictures 911's in the factory lot with the exact same tape as on your car, waiting to be shipped.
