When you order the painted skirting do the sides still have that rubberized finish?

Kind of like a Line X coating? As much as i would be worried about scratching up the front spoiler, the sides would look worse if they rock chip. I actually like the current protection, these cars don't take a beating from rocks like most.

No. Its mearly painted and prone to chips.

it's just paint and chips easily as discussed in this link http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...ainted+rockers

you can have all the lower black plastic done in rubberized paint for less than porsche charges for the rockers. alternatively, you can have the rockers wrapped in protective plastic film.

Or as an alternative you can add protective layering on all of the valance's which could decrease the chances of paint chipping from debris, pebbles and stone on the highway.

The factory painted front lip on my buddy's 997TT started peeling within a
FEW DAYS...not good.
