996 Turbo S or 997 Turbo

I currently own a 05 996 Turbo S and have been pondering on switching to the 997 Turbo.

1) Is there a significant improvement in hp & handling compared to my 996 Turbo S in daily driving here in orange county, ca.

Any input would be appreciated.

No, not significant enough to balance out the depreciating hit.

The main difference is exterior and interior, the interior of the 997 is better and improved over the 996's interior it feels well built.

but for a 30-40hp difference I would just suggest you to add an ecu, air intake, headers, dv's and exhausts if you want to surpass or achieve 997TT no's.

PASM on the 997TT is supposed to be better than PSM on the 996TT

the 997 turbo isnt too much faster than a turbo s. i believe turbo s' have run 11.8@121-123 in bone stock trim.
