Was the BIG MISTAKE the $'s lost or were there other issues you had with the car?

Car was perfect. Owner was an idiot. The mistake was thinking I didn't "need" the car. I've had a Porsche since 1979 including 993, 996 and 997 versions of the turbo. I am planning on ordering another for early spring delivery (I'm in the north), assuming ceramics will again be available by then.

I know of a 997TT, that stickered at 142K, had 2K miles, sold for 127K. My MSRP was 133,600, had 1K miles, sold for 125K

These cars do seem to be soft, surprising, I think they are far superior to the 996tt.

Better performance, but less connection to the road IMO

When you heavily option a car of this value it becomes so personal that it will be hard to sell "your" car. Most people when spending in the 130-140K+ cars they want "their" car not someone elses options. That is why I passed up on a few with great options but 1) not my first choice in color, 2) No LSD, 3) deviated red thread, options that I would have never done..etc.

So I ordered one instead. The lower priced ones don't take as large of a hit due to the fact that many of the "custom" options are worthless in trade and to many people.

If they limit the amount being pumped out over the next couple of years it should level out better.
