Unless he is a customer who has bought many cars, but getting it at that price is under market price.
Also, different areas have different markets.
the car is in high demand in NYC, BH, and Miami
thanks for your post

Dealers trying to recreate the RS/GT3 hype. What pray tell, demand over MSRP for a TT without a roof? TT now under sticker occasionally, MSRP everywhere.
Hold on folks, don't fall for it.

Steve K MMC ..... I appreciate site sponsorship and aggressive sales as much as the next guy, but this is the same hype as with the 997 TT coupe, which rightfully flared up and fizzled all within about 72 hours.... this forum is chock full of educated 997 consumers.
No doubt you'll get some premium from the early adopters (did pcna change their policy to allow ADM's over MSRP?) and you may be in a tough position lacking GM authority to settle for msrp on these cabrios....sorry my only rambling point is the dealers who engender LONG TERM, repeat buyer loyalty aren't the ones doing short term hype/quick buck thing. MMC may not need that to prosper, that's one management style...no big thing, good luck.
guys
i don't set these prices
if you don't want to buy the 1st cars, that's fine.
if you don't want to pay a premium, that's fine too.
the prices will come down, just like the coupe prices did...
we have two cars, and we're in NYC.
the cars will sell before they get here.
im just giving you guys the opportunity to buy one at market price..
but like i said, im not pushing anything down your throats.

There is nothing about the coupe or the cab that justifies over MSRP. Any analogy to the RS is rediculous. The RS is a limited production car at the end of it's production, the TT is available in large numbers with no end in sight. The cab will account for over 40% of TT production.
If someone wants to pay over msrp to be an early adopter, so be it, but to generalize that into a global demand over msrp is just sales bs. Perhaps in Beverly Hills or NY, or Miami, but to the rest of the country it's just another new car. Besides, at $147,000 for a few decent options, it's getting pretty hard to justify.

Cut the guy a break. If you dont like his prices dont buy. Move on. He is a board sponsor and a nice guy. Because im sure in all honesty if no one on this forum buys it theres at least another 100 people in NYC that will. No point in another pissing match. I admire your hard work Steve. Keep your head up! : ) Just my .02
