Thoughts on painted lowers - with a twist

My car is 2 months old and because I live in a city with steep driveways its already wiped out and by the end of the year or sooner I will need to replace it (simple bolt on). Every week or two, right before I wash my car, I take 80 grit sandpaper to the lower edge to smooth out the jagged appearance. I cannot imagine what it would look like painted (actually I can). Its not about the cost , its just that the valance will look good for a few days or at best 1 week, especially if you are in my situation. Seems to me like a big hassle but to each his own.
I would go all painted as I have. Yes the front scrapes but its on the lower part and you cannot see it unless you look under the front lip. I really think all lowers painted completes the look of the car. Replacing the lip is just part of the ownership. Grant it this replacement, repaint is not practical...but at the same time a 997TT daily driver is not practical

IMO, unpainted only looks good on certain cars, and Silver is not one of them. I'd paint all around and if you find the front getting scuffed all the time, then just replace it with an unpainted one. That's my plan.

I know what you mean Chris. For me its not a question of painted or not? I think the car looks better painted with my color, but its far from crappy looking left alone. I feel that it actually looks leaner and have never regretted leaving it alone. The issue is my circumstances (living in a city and having a steep driveway). I just wasn't sure how low the car would be stock. If you don't have the same issues as I do then go for it.
