Who has had coilovers on a 996 Turbo with settings like 4/fr and 3/r (or stiffer) and now has springs on the 997 Turbo?
How bouncy do the shorter springs make the car? Does Techart and Eibach offer the same ride and handling? Is one more bouncy than the other?
Thanks

I had PSS9 on my 996tt coupe, Techart springs on my 996tt cab, and Techart springs on my 997C4S cab. Now I have H&R on my 997tt coupe. The PSS9 was great in the sense that I could control the height and each shock's stiffness individually. I ran it pretty soft for street driving and it offered a great ride with good handling. Otherwise the Techart springs seemed to match the shocks of the other cars pretty well for street driving and I had no complaints. Now I have H&R on my 997tt and so far, it rides a little firmer but I have not noticed much bounciness, although I have only had it for a week and have not driven it that hard yet to really test it.

- little stiffer on irregular payment but still very civilized
- less lean in corners and that nervous feeling in faster corners is gone (i'm no sure this is 100% due to the springs or whether it's a combination of the wider track with the gp7 wheels)
- feels much better and smoother in sport/pasm mode; i used to leave pasm off before the springs
btw, i don't believe you can set pasm using the sport mode button with the pss9.

actually, the ride quality has improved with the techart springs. my observations are:

there should be some used ones available for sale amongst 997tt owners as some have upgraded to pss10 coilovers. try amg55, eclou or the buy and sell forum here.
