Don when you see an AMG V12/65 just make sure you are on boost, but since you are stock it would still be close

Those things have boatloads of TQ

Hi Mike

I live in Melbourne Fl,, small place and travel within 100 miles to Daytona and or Fort Pierce.

I have seen one of those V12 s in a showroom once.

On the highway I saw saw my first AMG yesterday, A CL or CLK not sure which CL.

If I do see an SL65 or any 65 the "rocket" button will be pushed!!!

I dont think we get many of those in my particular area. Heck, I've never seen a 996 or 997 Turbo around. Once in a blue moon I ll see a 996 Cab when I go beachside,, A1A in Satellite Beach or Melbourne Beach.

We have a fun run coming up on Sept 8th from Melbourne to Vero and hopefully we will get a lot of 911s, maybe a few turbos!!! Then we can have some real fun.

The last fun run we had with about 20 P cars was unbelievable and I had my 996 Cab. This fun run will be something for the record book!! Cant wait..

If anyone from Melbourne (the 997 turbo guys, Dave or Bernie) is reading this call or PM me. Full details from the PCA guys will be available soon.

Hey Don

Have fun with the run, for sure it will be a great time.

Wish I had not cancelled my order on the tip, now I have to wait until my 6sp comes in, but maybe I can join next time around.

By the way I am hopping between Aruba and Hollywood, FL.

Rocket button is defenitely needed when you see one of the V12's

Again have fun with the run

Mike

yeah, I got humbled by an e55 2 years ago...

FOUR dudes in the car, the passenger had his window down, and was eating a burrito with his mouth open...while they blew me away.

Granted I was stock then.

640HP seems to cure a few issues though. BUt yeah - there ALWAYS somebody faster. LOL at smoking ricers...

you should do some MMA w/ Jerry's kids next

Bone stock (I mean everything... tires, ECU, the works) my '05 SL65 ran 11.71 @ 125.6 at Sacramento Raceway. Worse, it's got an automatic, which means the odds of the driver screwing up are almost zilch. My friend, with the even heavier S65 (the huge 4-door sedan) has run 11.04 @ 129 with the RENNtech ECU and drag radials.

You don't want to mess with an x65 Mercedes in a straight line... unless you've got some mods.

I so understand. Im in Dallas and I have a 997s and the only thing that pulls up to me is Hondas, Ford Mustange very annoying and I just look the other way. I respect faster cars and just look at them and enjoy. In my m3 I have done what you did a couple times with those dumb asses that toy with you

Global

Ive been in P cars since 1995 (993) and I just have gotten used to ignoring these guys, the Souped up VW Golfs, Civics, Subaru's etc. BUT, last week I decided not to ignore.

Now if that was the new GT500 Cobra it would be a different story,, I d love that trying to mess with me and wouldnt ignore it. I am sure when we start seeing a bunch of those on the road the drivers will be at high testosterone levels at least the first few months!!

The TT gets better with each ride.

Nice kill! Stupid ricers. It makes people in the aftermarket scene look like idiots when people like that trash perfectly good cars.
