Well to them they treat the guy that spends 67k on a cayman the same way they treat a guy that bought a 150k tt cab... and that is the diffrence.

Sometimes in business its not about how much you spend its about how you treat the customer.

Some of you know what I do for a living and I dont care if a customer comes in here 4 times a month or once a month they all get treated the same way.... go ahead just ask

You're an impulsive guy!

Your sig says you have a 997TT Cab on the way in a couple weeks. You still getting it? I guess you could just drop the top permanently and just drive the Cab or Coupe depending on the weather.....

i agree with you. if you have the money, enjoy yourself. if you see it and want it and can afford it, why not get it? there is nothing wrong with what you are saying. impulsivity is only a problem when you buy things if you can't afford them. i'm with you-enjoy yourself.

I had a hell of a time getting a C5 vette for MSRP back in 1997 (I live in SF). Every single dealer I called wanted 5-10k over MSRP and the ones that didn't had waiting lists too long to mention. Under no circumstance will I pay a single penny over sticker even if I have to have it trucked to my house 1000's of miles away. Well, to make a long story short, I finally found a dealer that was fair and could deliver a car in a reasonable amount of time. It was Mr Dave Salvatore of Kerbeck Chevrolet. He was very professional and easy to deal with. He even arranged to have it delivered to my front door! Kerbeck Chevrolet came through for me big time! You never forget the dealers that treat you fairly and I'll never reccomend or patronize ANY dealer that charges over MSRP.

Dave is a great guy!!

I just talked with him a few days ago to verify that they still had Z06's in stock.

At my local dealer here they have two 2007 Z06s and the AHs want $90,000 each which is ridiculous. I called Dave to confirm he still has some and the price and he did.

I think Kerbeck will come down more than $5000 on the Z06s if someone was ready to buy now.

If I go the ZO6 route I will stick with that great dealership,, NO BS, no pressure and they always make good on their word.

I had the same experience a year or two ago, when I rolled up in the C4S, with my wife, wanting to look at a plain vanilla C6 Vette. The dealer spent about 10 minutes name-dropping every St. Louis bigwig he could think of, then flat-out refused to let me drive the thing unless we had worked out a deal and pre-approved financing. I told him I wouldn't be financing if I bought it, and he just blamed it on dealer policy.

We just shrugged and started to walk out, when the little kid put on his best haughty voice, and said "Then I can only infer that you're not a serious buyer."

First and last time the word "infer" was used at a Chevy dealership.

Except perhaps in the service department "What're you bringin' her infer?"

Thats to funny, I hope you will never buy a Vette after that.... this is why American cars are know less than 50% of cars sold in the World.. thats sad considering they were 68% in the 90s

That is sweet! Congrats on the car! Can't wait to see pics!

It is too bad the way some dealerships treat people. Apparently, they love their car so much they can keep it along with their attitudes. Their loss, big time....
