Hi guys,

Does anybody know if outside air temp sensor affects ECU compensations ?

Im asking this because i think my sensor is broken, it shows very high temperatures.

For example real temp is about 29 Celcius, it shows about 47 Celcius.

Any comments will be appreciated..

Did you try to ask the dealership to solve this issue?

 

i'm not familiar w/ the 997tt but there's little chance the outside air temp would affect the ECU. there would be separate temp sensors in the intake tract (or possibly turbo from what i hear w/ the VTNs) that would measure temps for the ECU.
