BMC Filter Mod
All tests out there to date show these let more dirt into the motor....
Since I like keeping my expensive porsche motor dirt free (as much as possible), I gave up on getting 4-10 hp (doubt you get any actually) and am sticking with OEM.
We had a thread on this in the 996TT section not long ago....data was noted.
Here it is:

If these things were good, Porsche would put them in the car. In a race car, the engines are rebuilt all the time.....
Your money. Your cars. The world is dusty and dirty in reality, or we'd not bother to wash our cars..... I wanted these to be good too. But, like most other cheap power sources, they are neutral things at best and might actually do damage to your car via dirt/dust/etc.

I also dont replace my filters anymore with these high flow units, I dont need the extra 10hp that bad vs. the dirt thats allowed in vs. paper. Granted, if I was leasing I would not care one bit but owning and keeping for a while I therefore do.
Stock airbox / filter is good for a lot of power but if you like to hear the turbos a wee bit more then this will provide.
